I am still doing my wonderful seasonings and reopening Rasta Pasta at the Inn at Robert's Grove on the Placencia Point on the lagoon dining over 10 feet of water under the stars and a huge screened in thatch. You can reach me at rastapasta@btl.net or rastapasta2323@yahoo.com and can still order through the shop on the ambergriscaye.com site.

Here is a note from a friend:
It is a new day, a new chapter, the end of a cycle, the beginning of a
more fruitful season. Deliverance, development, life!
You are taking much light out of San Pedro when you leave. If this is what
others insist on, that you not shine here, your light will be carried
elsewhere. You've done all you came to do. You were very successful with
your assignment. We see no failure on your part, only on the part of
those who could not have recognized your knowledgeand contribution to the
community, but who chose to be jealous and afraid of your strength
instead. We are sad, but not surprised. San Pedro does not deserve you
anymore, if it ever did, but someplace does. We hope it's Placencia. If it
isn't, there's still the right place ahead of you. The grief and pain can
be healed and when it's gone, you two will still shine as the winners you
are."
With this we are moving to Placencia for now...
When open, we are a completely decadent sensual taste experience. We are a real favorite among visitors and residents of the islands. Delightful distinct flavors to tempt your palate, leaving a lasting memory, and a craving for more! Live Reggae Music !!!!
Response is great as ever and we have been jam packed!
We are now on Barrier Reef Drive. We still offer the same great menu as before, but now we have a bakery, deli and smoothie bar.
We offer a little more diversified menu than before, and a
great variety of dishes from the traditional to the eccentric and unusual, both Belizean and international dishes.
Rasta Pasta offers healthy dishes with fish and poultry, as well as vegetarian dishes. We are also concentrating on traditional Belizean dishes like cere, judut, steamed roots like cassava and also tamales. We are going back to our roots.
The bakery offers daily fresh baked goods including garlic bread, wheat bread, homemade bagels, a variety of cakes, cookies, pudding, pies and much more. The one treat you must try is our famous macaroons; they are stupendous!
A
new addition to the restaurant is the deli, which provides great service for those on the run. The "to-go"' menu includes sliced pizza, pan pizza, sandwiches, all our baked goods, most if not all items in our menu and much more. You may also order boxed lunches excellent for trips. The smoothie bar offers a variety of liquados, from fresh fruit smoothies to coladas which you can add your favorite 'poison'.
The changing specials reflect the finest available choices.
Shanti, pictured here with his brother Robbie, and sister Victoria, Q. I. T. (queen- in- training), put on quite a show. Seriously, which he's not, somehow all the pieces click together here, creating an evening's experience that will linger long after you've left. The food, the atmosphere, the ocean, all conspire to put shift your vacation into a different pace and place. Be sure this is one of your first food stops on your trip. That way you'll have time to come back again and again. Click here to see a few of the selections at Rasta Pasta Pizza Amor!
You'll find Rasta Pasta Pizza Amor on your walk north along Front Street. It features the best wait staff (Look for Shanti), divine food, and the friendliest atmosphere you'll experience on the island.
From Maralyn:
We have a natural approach to style of
cooking including no red meat or pork served on premise...only
the freshest of fish, which I try to find more unusual and special types
of fillet ie: pompano, barracuda, snook..to name a few, seafood and of
course my weekly buying trips to find the freshest of veggies
(our
wonderful salads with 3 different kinds of lettuce) and I search for
some of the strangest and interesting fruits we can find..also when you
don't see something you want on the menu..never be afraid to ask cause
we can be very creative especially those with dietary needs ie: a
vegetarians dream.... Dinner at Rasta Pasta with Her Excellency Ambassador Carolyn Curiel |

to you delivering hot food morning, noon, and night!
Rasta Pasta Pizza Amor was the name Marilyn and Albert
gave their entrepreneurial business here in San Pedro. Soon after opening, the Gills found that people all over were craving their dishes, wines and special spices. The restaurant's exquisite food and excellent service had gotten local and international recognition in a very short period of time. A couple of Maralyn's recipes have been featured in the world famous culinary magazines like "Bon Apetite." The restaurant still offers its great homemade wines, ginger beer and spices - the pride of the Gills.
With a quaint tropical setting in the heart of an exotic island, Rasta
ta Pasta is
one of the best restaurants on the island. Oh, aso expect to be delighted by the music of Albert Gill and his band. His original compositions truly set an island atmosphere excellent for dining and of course dancing. Ambergris Today
