DIVE CERTIFICATIONS

OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION
COST: U.S. $250 DURATION: 4 days, 5 dives
The Open Water Diving Certification is the beginning certification standard for divers the world over. Most dive shops on Caye Caulker certify divers under the PADI system, although NAUI and CMAS are also available.

The Open Water course consists of four days of classroom activities as well as daily in-the-water experiences. You get in the water from the first day. Student manuals, use of videos, gear and instruction are included. The course lasts for four days. At the end of the course, you should have logged your first five dives. Most days include half day of classroom instruction, followed by half a day of in-the-water instruction.

Each successive day the dives get deeper and deeper. Your fifth dive should be a dive at 60 feet below the sea. This last dive is usually referred as your fun dive. Once you have finished your fifth dive, CONGRATULATIONS! You are now a bona fide diver certified to explore the underwater world at your leisure.

Let Caye Caulker Travel and Tours book your next dive for you!!

During the Rescue Diver course, intense classroom and surface instruction will be given in the necessary skills to alert you in the aid of distressed divers. This includes much on-the-surface work, as well as several underwater rescue scenarios. It is very educational and the instruction is worth ever dollar spent.
